Technologic innovation at the service of photovoltaic testing

ELIOSYS owns many technologies allowing to reproduce each type of climatic and environmental constraint. Those accurate, fast, and flexible technologies are continually optimized in order to best meet the needs of the different actors of the solar industry.

The climatic solar simulators developed by ELIOSYS allow them to recreate different kinds of climatic and solar conditions at any time of day. It allows the engineers to measure the performance of solar installations by carrying out tests in laboratory..

Moreover, they offer numerous possibilities in order to carry out R&D works and/or standardized tests.

LARGE SCALE CLIMATIC SOLAR SIMULATOR

  • Irradiation surface up to 2 x 2 m (PV) ou 3 x 2 (Others)
  • On-sample Radiation : up to 1200 w/m²
  • Mobile light source along 2 axes
  • Automated angle of incidence from 0° C to 90° C
  • Temperature range: from 0°C to +60°C
  • AM spectrum 1.5: 280 at 3000 nm according to IEC 60 904-9

CLIMATIC SOLAR CHAMBER

  • Irradiation surface: 1,9 x 1 m
  • On-sample Radiation : up to 1200 W/m²
  • Net volume: 1,97 x 1,15 x 1,5 m
  • Temperature range: from -70°C to +160°C
  • Relative humidity: from 30 to 95 %
  • AM spectrum 1.5: 280 at 3000nm according to IEC 60 904-9

UV AGING CHAMBER

  • Irradiation surface: 2,6 x 2,2 m
  • Irradiance on samples: up to 250 W/m²
  • Adjustable room temperature
  • Spectrum : UVA – UVB : 2/3 – 1/3 or on request

ELECTROLUMINESCENCE – EL

  • Maximal measurement area: 2,3 x 1,3 m
  • Measurement range: 300 – 1100 nm
  • Resolution : 3072 x 2048 pixels
  • The modules can be testes under direct current with a power ranging up to 5kW.

WIND CONSTRAINT

  • Maximal sample size : 1,5 x 2 m
  • Minimum sample size : 0.5 x 0.5 m
  • Pressure : from 100 Pa to 10.000 Pa (2.400 Pa is equivalent to 130 km/h)
  • Dynamics aspect : max 1Hz

HAIL CONSTRAINT

  • Maximal sample size : 1.5 x 2 m
  • Hailstone size: from 12,5 mm from 75 mm
  • Hailstone speed: up to 100m/s

SHOCK CONSTRAINT

  • Maximal sample size: 2 x 2 m
  • « Soft » or elastic shock

SMALL SCALE CLIMATIC CHAMBER

  • Temperature range: from -45°C to +180°C
